Rogelio (Roy) Sotelo is the Lead Technical Supervisor at Guardian Services with an exceptional tenure of more than 45 years in the organization. Originally from Mexico, Roy began his career with Guardian as a field technician and, through decades of consistency and skilled performance, became a core leader within the operations and technical maintenance division. With a background in general maintenance and welding, Roy brings deep expertise in troubleshooting and repairing kitchen vent hood systems, ductwork, and exhaust fans. Known for his attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and organizational skill, he is regarded as one of Guardian’s most knowledgeable technical resources. Roy takes the greatest pride in training others and passing down the knowledge he has gained over the years. He is valued not only for his ability to complete large-scale projects on time and within budget, but also for the standards he upholds — insisting on quality, safety, and a job done right the first time. Influenced early on by the person who gave him his first opportunity at Guardian, Roy has carried forward that same spirit by mentoring new employees and helping shape the workforce that now stands behind the company’s reputation. He contributes to Guardian’s culture by leading with example — working smart, working safe, and taking pride in every task, regardless of size. Outside of work, Roy enjoys spending time with his family, tackling hands-on projects, and continuing to learn new skills.
